College Admissions Worker (Federal Work-Study)

About the role

The College Admissions Worker provides front‑line assistance to students, visitors, and staff in the Admissions Office. This Federal Work‑Study position supports daily operations, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

• Greet college visitors, determine their needs, and direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Answer, screen, and route telephone calls promptly and courteously.
• Deliver accurate messages and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and orderly office environment.
• Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, shredding documents, data entry, and processing mail.
• Follow supervisor directions, adhere to work schedules, and observe break and attendance policies.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Highly organized with strong verbal communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and proper phone etiquette.
• High school diploma or GED; must be financially need‑based and Pell‑eligible.
• Enrolled as a student at the Griffin location with satisfactory academic progress for Federal Student Aid.
