Coding Instructor (Sensei)

About the role

Code Ninjas is seeking a passionate Coding Instructor (Sensei) to guide children aged 7‑14 in learning to code through game‑based projects. You will create a fun, safe environment where students develop critical thinking, problem‑solving, and technical skills while progressing through a belt‑system curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Study and master the coding curriculum before teaching.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning space for students.
• Assess each child’s skill level and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Provide regular feedback to parents on student progress.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning the dojo to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to the Education Director for planning and daily to the Center Director on activities, successes, and challenges.

Required profile

• Enjoys working with children and can thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Kind, patient, and collaborative.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or caring for children aged 7 and up.
• Preferred background in teaching, mentoring, or child care.
• Comfortable learning new technology concepts quickly.
• Enthusiastic about experimenting with technology and encouraging students to do the same.
