Coding Instructor (Sensei)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Coding Instructor (Sensei) to lead children aged 7‑14 through a fun, game‑based coding curriculum at Code Ninjas. As the primary mentor in the dojo, you will create a safe, engaging environment where young learners develop critical thinking, problem‑solving and technology skills.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and deliver the Code Ninjas coding curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning space for students.
• Assess each child’s skill level and tailor support.
• Provide constructive feedback to parents after sessions.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including daily cleaning to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to the Education Director for planning and daily to the Center Director on activities, successes and challenges.

Required profile

• Enjoy working with children and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Kind, patient and able to collaborate with team members.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or tutoring children 7 years and older.
• Preferred background in teaching, mentoring or child‑care.
• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new coding concepts quickly.
• Hands‑on, experimental mindset to inspire students to tinker.
