CNC Set‑Up Operator – Round Tool Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Set‑Up Operator to join our precision round‑tool manufacturing team in Reynoldsville. The role focuses on setting up, programming, and operating Rollomatic grinding machines to produce high‑quality carbide tools for diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Rollomatic CNC grinders (e.g., 529Xw, 620XS, 628WX, 630WX, Grind Smart series) for round‑tool production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, tool drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Load programs, make offsets, and perform minor edits to ensure accurate tool geometry.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections and in‑process checks using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and optical equipment.
• Monitor machine performance, adjust parameters, and maintain tool quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering as needed.
• Complete production paperwork and uphold safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong math skills with metrics, decimals, and fractions.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lb.

Required skills

• Experience with Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical equipment).
• Familiarity with Fanuc or NUM control interfaces.
• Knowledge of G‑code programming.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T.
