About the role

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Clinical Unit Support Clerk to provide essential clerical assistance on the Skilled Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. This full‑time, onsite position supports the West Unit’s daily operations and contributes to the smooth delivery of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clerical support functions for the West Unit, including data entry, copying, and document distribution.
• Conduct clerical research, gather information, and prepare or assemble reports.
• Receive, screen, and direct telephone communications; greet and assist internal and external customers.
• Operate office equipment, maintain supplies, and manage inventory.
• Maintain record‑keeping and filing systems, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of general office or administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain routine clerical records, filing, inventory, and mailing systems.
• Willingness to undergo a state and national background check.
