About the role

The Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks a Clinical Technician to support patient care during day shifts. You will work under RN supervision, providing direct assistance to a high‑volume adult and pediatric population.

Key responsibilities

  • Take vital signs, weight, and perform point‑of‑care testing.
  • Assist patients with personal care, dressing changes, and patient transfers.
  • Apply external monitoring devices, perform phlebotomy, 12‑lead ECGs, and remove urinary Foley catheters.
  • Report abnormal findings to the RN and maintain clean, orderly patient rooms.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required within the new‑hire period.
  • At least one year of recent full‑time patient‑care experience (or equivalent military medical experience).
  • Ability to read and perform basic math at an 8th‑grade level.

Required skills

  • Phlebotomy.
  • 12‑lead ECG acquisition.
  • Urinary Foley catheter removal.
  • Point‑of‑care testing equipment operation.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
