About the role
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides high‑quality pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages across the Lehigh Valley Health Network. You will ensure safe, effective, and timely medication therapy while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications for infant to geriatric patients, including sterile and non‑sterile products.
- Evaluate evidence‑based literature to make clinical recommendations and optimize drug selection.
- Perform medication surveillance, document interventions, and report adverse drug reactions.
- Coordinate pharmacy technicians in medication preparation, labeling, and delivery.
- Counsel physicians, nurses, and patients on drug usage, compatibility, and safety in accordance with regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Doctorate or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and active Pennsylvania pharmacist license (RP).
- Ability to work effectively in a team, make independent judgments under stress, and follow laws and accreditation standards.
- Physical ability to lift 25 lb and perform frequent standing, sitting, and keyboard use.
Required skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and technology platforms.
- Experience with sterile compounding and non‑sterile medication preparation.
- Knowledge of clinical medication surveillance and adverse event reporting.
