Clinical Specialist / Lead RRT

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital as a Clinical Specialist / Lead RRT, providing both managerial and clinical leadership for the Respiratory Therapy department. You will serve as a Registered Respiratory Therapist supporting patients with chronic respiratory disorders, critical illnesses, and related symptoms during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and managerial leadership to the respiratory staff, monitoring daily operations and acting as a resource.
• Assign therapist workload, adjust staffing based on patient volume, and participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Develop and implement respiratory therapy policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serve as a liaison with multidisciplinary care teams and conduct orientation/training for new and existing staff.
• Perform blood gas puncture and analysis, and educate patients and families about respiratory care.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree with three years of respiratory therapy experience (including critical care) OR Bachelor’s Degree with two years of experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC.
• Current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
