Clinical Rheumatologist – Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Clinical Rheumatologist to join its New Orleans Medical Center. The position offers a balanced outpatient schedule, opportunities for teaching, and involvement in clinical research within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nine half‑day outpatient clinic sessions per week and participate in inpatient consult service coverage on a rotating basis.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, and contribute to academic activities.
• Utilize newly purchased musculoskeletal ultrasound equipment for patient care.
• Engage in clinical research and support professional organization leadership.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Completion of residency training; physicians directly from residency or with experience will be considered.
• Commitment to teaching, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with musculoskeletal ultrasound equipment.
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical record system.
