Clinical Research Coordinator II

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRCII) supports Georgetown University’s mission of cura personalis by managing a portfolio of neuroimmunology and neuromuscular clinical trials within the Department of Neurology. The role serves as the primary point of contact for trial participants, ensuring timely communication and adherence to FDA reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily, weekly, or monthly communication with patients enrolled in assigned trials.
• Respond to patient inquiries within 24 hours and triage issues as they arise.
• Coordinate scheduling of study visits, send reminders, and adjust appointments to accommodate investigators.
• Conduct full study visits, following protocol procedures and documenting data accurately.
• Report adverse events promptly to the Associate Director, Director of Clinical Trials, and principal investigators.
• Manage approximately seven active trials out of a total of 55, covering Phases I‑IV.

Required profile

• Experience working in clinical research, preferably within neurology or related specialties.
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations and clinical trial protocols.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to maintain patient relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively with investigators, sub‑investigators, and study staff.

Required skills

• Knowledge of clinical trial management processes.
• Familiarity with adverse event reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in scheduling and patient coordination.
