About the role

The University of Miami’s Department of Psychology and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator 1 to support patient‑centered behavioral studies in cancer care. The role focuses on coordinating and implementing research protocols that test non‑pharmacologic interventions to improve health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chart reviews and pre‑screen participants for eligibility.
• Maintain enrollment procedures and coordinate study visits, appointments, and timelines.
• Collect, manage, and maintain study data according to protocol specifications.
• Perform moderate to complex research tests and adapt procedures under supervision.
• Operate clinical research equipment, troubleshoot operational issues, and document adverse events.
• Identify and report protocol deviations, unanticipated occurrences, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain study‑specific regulatory binders and complete mandatory training in safety, ethics, and research conduct.

Required profile

• Foundation in clinical research with experience in data management and protocol implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with investigators, clinicians, study participants, and multi‑site teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for scheduling and documentation.
