About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join its Department of Psychiatry and work exclusively with oncology patients in the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center. The role involves providing psychosocial care to adult and pediatric oncology patients across multiple specialties.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Lung Cancer, Head & Neck Cancer, Neuro‑oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation.
Provide psychosocial support to patients and families, including participation in the Palliative Oncology Team.
Occasionally travel to satellite facilities in the Greater New Orleans area.

Required profile

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) from an APA‑approved program.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Louisiana.
Completed internship training at an APA‑approved site.

Required skills

Experience delivering psychosocial care to oncology patients.
Ability to work within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
