Clinical Psychiatrist

About the role

Salma Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Psychiatrist with a strong interest in Interventional Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry. The physician will lead evidence‑based treatment for patients with complex, treatment‑resistant mood and neuropsychiatric disorders, focusing on modalities such as TMS and Spravato.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with treatment‑resistant depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and other complex neuropsychiatric conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate interventional modalities like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and ketamine‑based therapies.
• Supervise and deliver TMS, Spravato (esketamine), and IV ketamine administration, expanding to novel therapies as approved.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, adjust protocols, and provide ongoing psychiatric medication management.
• Partner with clinical operations to build and scale interventional services, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.
• Participate in quality review, outcomes tracking, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams, offering physician oversight and consultation.
• Support research initiatives, including serving as site PI for industry‑sponsored trials and deploying the ATLAS study.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted California medical license (or in process) and eligibility for Medicare participation.
• DEA registration.

Required skills

• Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) expertise.
• Spravato (esketamine) administration.
• IV ketamine administration.

What we offer

• Total compensation potential of $450,000–$500,000 per year, including a $200,000 base salary plus RVU‑based productivity incentives.
