Clinical Program Coordinator – Health Programs

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth Department of Surgery is seeking a full‑time Clinical Program Coordinator (H) to develop, organize, produce, and evaluate health‑promotion and educational programs for patients in the assigned unit.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates program effectiveness, analyzes results, and recommends appropriate actions.
• Coordinates program activities with other departments to ensure optimum efficiency.
• Trains, develops, and empowers staff to perform their jobs effectively.
• Acts as the main point of contact for funders, advisors, speakers, and participants; recruits program participants, members, and volunteers.
• Builds cooperative relationships with patients and families, projecting a positive professional image.
• Develops program communications and promotional literature, including newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
• Prepares periodic reports, financial statements, and records for management or external agencies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects hospital business information.
• Oversees supply levels in unit and supply rooms.
• Adheres to university and unit policies, safeguarding university assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to evaluate program performance and manage budgetary planning.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
