About the role
Join a multidisciplinary pain management team at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune as a Clinical Pharmacist. You will provide direct patient care and consultative pharmacy services to active‑duty service members, veterans, and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct medication reviews and reconciliation for chronic pain patients, addressing non‑compliance, abuse, or diversion.
- Perform clinical interviews with patients, families, and caregivers to develop individualized pharmacotherapeutic plans.
- Prescribe and manage drug therapy in accordance with MTF policy, including polypharmacy management and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Provide non‑pharmacologic interventions such as auricular acupuncture.
- Collaborate with physicians, order and evaluate laboratory tests, and document clinical outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication use, self‑monitoring, and adherence strategies.
Required profile
- Licensed pharmacist with hands‑on clinical experience, preferably in pain management.
- Experience working in a high‑tempo, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ASHP‑ or ACCP‑accredited clinical pharmacy residency or equivalent training.
