Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient (PRN)

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist (Inpatient, PRN) will support both decentralized and centralized pharmacy operations at South Pointe Hospital, primarily serving Internal Medicine services. This position works on a PRN basis, providing medication therapy optimization, interdisciplinary rounding, and clinical pharmacy support for hospitalized patients.

Key responsibilities

• Round with interdisciplinary care teams to review and optimize medication therapy for internal medicine patients.
• Verify medication orders and dispense medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Document clinical services accurately and timely.
• Assist with centralized pharmacy operations as needed.
• Precept pharmacy students, residents, and other learners.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligibility for reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and immunization administration training.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or obtain within one year of hire).
• Board certification and post‑graduate residency or fellowship preferred.
