Clinical Pharmacist - Full Time

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a full-time Clinical Pharmacist. Working under the supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy, the pharmacist keeps the pharmacy running every day and provides clinical services that improve medication administration and therapeutic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform compounding, labeling and dispensing of medications and IV admixtures.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in all work areas.
• Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of healthcare staff.
• Take part in appropriate committees and support department education, including residents, interns and students.
• Work up to 25% variable staff rotation, including evenings and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current registration as a pharmacist in the state of Florida and board certification.
• Self-motivated, good interpersonal communication with physicians and nurses, problem-solving skills, teamwork and ability to use computerized information systems.
• Willingness to stand, sit and walk for long periods and to lift up to 25 pounds and push a supply cart.
• Completion of annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including orientation, TB/PPD surveillance and maintenance of professional license or certification.
