About the role
The Clinical Pharmacist will join BayCare’s pharmacy team to provide patient‑focused medication management, ensuring safe and effective drug therapy across the continuum of care.
Key responsibilities
- Develop competency in clinical practice, including appropriate drug therapy and prevention/resolution of drug‑related problems.
- Evaluate patients for drug‑drug, drug‑food, drug‑lab, and drug‑disease interactions.
- Individualize drug regimens based on patient size, organ function, and disease state.
- Facilitate medication continuity at admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Review and accurately interpret medication orders.
- Dispense and compound medications in accordance with good pharmaceutical practice.
- Ensure formulary adherence, recommend cost‑effective therapies, and minimize waste.
- Support medication safety initiatives and report events through proper channels.
- Orient and train new pharmacy team members, interns, residents, and students.
- Provide direction to pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and service standards.
Required profile
- Active pharmacist license issued by the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- No prior experience required.
Required skills
- Strong computer skills.

- Variable 10‑hour shifts starting at 7 am, 10:30 am or 11 am.
- Every third weekend, two holidays per year.
