About the role
This position is responsible for coordinating Clinical Pharmacy Services in Monroe. The coordinator facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote safe, cost‑effective drug therapies and desirable patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate Clinical Pharmacy Services across the facility.
- Educate staff on pharmaceutical issues and best practices.
- Train and develop department staff, including pharmacists, students, and residents.
- Provide patient assessment and direct care as needed.
- Adapt communication and service delivery to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required); Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
- Post‑doctoral residency or fellowship preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical practice.
- Current pharmacy license in the state of practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor pharmacy personnel.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard for data entry.
- Ability to retrieve and enter patient information accurately using pharmacy information systems.
