Clinical Director, Oncology Early Development

About the role

The Clinical Director (Principal Scientist) leads planning and execution of clinical research for new or marketed oncology medicines across early development stages. This senior position oversees study design, initiation, monitoring, analysis, regulatory reporting and publication.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design clinical trials aligned with the oncology development strategy.
• Provide medical oversight for ongoing and new trials of investigational or marketed drugs.
• Analyze clinical findings to support safety, efficacy decisions and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including regulatory affairs, statistics, commercialization and manufacturing.
• Identify and engage leading investigators and maintain scientific networks.

Required profile

• MD or MD/PhD with a minimum of 3 years clinical medicine experience.
• At least 1 year of industry experience in drug development or academic biomedical research.
• Board certified or eligible in Oncology or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship, publications and strong interpersonal skills.

• Base salary range $255,800 – $402,700 per year.
