Clinical Dietitian (Hybrid) – UHealth Cancer Care

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join its interdisciplinary cancer care team. This hybrid position provides nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy to support the medical goals of cancer patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, and adjust therapy based on disease stage and status.
• Collaborate with physicians, cancer survivorship, and supportive care services such as exercise physiology, yoga, and massage therapy.
• Document nutritional status, write diet orders, and manage enteral/parenteral nutrition according to hospital policy.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families on medical nutrition therapy and drug‑nutrient interactions.
• Participate in workshops, support groups, training of new dietitians, and quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) and RD/RDN certification.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant clinical nutrition experience.

Required skills

• Medical nutrition therapy and nutrient intake analysis.
• Enteral and parenteral nutrition management.
