Clinical Case Manager

About the role

Georgetown University is hiring a Clinical Case Manager to lead its campus‑wide clinical case management system. This permanent, full‑time position reports to the CAPS Clinical Director and supports student mental health across the Main Campus in Washington, D.C.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and staff the higher‑education clinical case management system.
• Perform triage, clinical assessments, brief and bridged interventions, and referrals for students with diverse mental‑health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment for students at risk of self‑harm or harm to others.
• Collaborate with university staff, Student Outreach and Support, emergency responders, and local psychiatric facilities.
• Maintain a community‑resource database and coordinate referrals to external services.
• Ensure confidentiality of student information in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Offer consultation to faculty, staff, students, families, and university offices.
• Participate in committees, advisory groups, and mental‑health wellness coalitions.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in mental‑health consultation and brief intervention within a university or similar setting.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across diverse communities.
• Knowledge of confidentiality regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with health‑care professionals and non‑professionals.
