Clinic Receptionist – Full‑Time OBGYN Support

About the role

The Clinic Receptionist greets patients and visitors at an OBGYN practice, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while managing front‑desk operations. This full‑time position supports smooth patient flow and accurate record‑keeping in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co‑pays or past‑due balances.
• Answer and route phone calls, schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Enter and maintain patient demographics, insurance details, and clinical information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Copy/scan identification, referrals, and insurance cards into the appropriate electronic files.
• Uphold clinic and regulatory policies during the admitting process.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, shared‑leadership environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within three months of hire).
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
