Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon – High‑Performing Team

About the role

We are seeking a Total Joint/Adult Reconstruction Orthopedic Surgeon to join a growing, high‑performing team at MercyOne Genesis. This role offers the chance to be a foundational member of a new orthopedic practice and shape the direction of our joint replacement program.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex primary and revision total joint arthroplasty procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, hospitalists, primary care, and rehabilitation teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in shared evening and weekend call (1:8) and support multidisciplinary care.
• Utilize dedicated OR access and advanced practice provider support to build a thriving practice.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree; fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty (preferred).
• ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses.
• Strong clinical and surgical skill set with passion for total joint and revision work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; open to recent fellows and experienced surgeons.

• Two‑year guaranteed salary of $739,410 with production model thereafter and potential earnings over $1 M.
