About the role

Rutter Mills, a personal injury law firm in Hampton Roads, is hiring a client services associate for its Front End Department in Norfolk, VA. The role is the first point of contact for current and potential clients and helps deliver the firm's reputation for exceptional service. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, on site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide client service to current and potential clients, visitors and referral sources with professionalism, warmth and empathy.
• Manage incoming and outbound calls accurately, patiently and with a positive phone presence.
• Collect, verify and document client information while keeping records accurate and organized.
• Communicate with clients, referral sources and team members to ensure timely follow-up.
• Provide backup front desk coverage, including greeting clients, visitors and walk-ins and assisting them.
• Balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Follow firm procedures and keep client information confidential.

Required profile

• Reliable, personable and an excellent communicator; an empathetic, attentive listener.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, and to manage several priorities.
• Exceeding client expectations is a priority.
• Bilingual is a plus.
