Client Service Representative - Veterinary Hospital

About the role

Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG), Chattanooga's largest multi-specialty and emergency hospital, is hiring a Client Service Representative. As the first point of contact for pet owners during stressful and emotional moments, you will help triage calls, manage patient intake and discharge, and support the veterinary team and clients with compassion, efficiency and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with empathy, urgency and professionalism
• Triage incoming calls and determine the appropriate response based on emergency protocols
• Gather and verify client and patient information and enter data accurately and on time
• Handle emotionally charged situations with compassion and clarity
• Process payments, estimates, invoices and medical records
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the reception and lobby areas
• Act as a liaison between the veterinary team and clients

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays
• Ability to stay calm, focused and compassionate during emergencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills under pressure
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with sick or injured animals

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in a veterinary, emergency or medical reception setting
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and emergency triage protocols
• Proficiency with veterinary software (Instinct)
