Client Relations Specialist I

About the role

HIS Envoys Group, a faith-driven financial firm offering retirement, investment and financial consulting, is hiring a Client Relations Specialist I in Colorado Springs, CO or Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The role serves retirement plan participants and plan sponsors, resolves operational issues, answers account questions and keeps service standards high. It is permanent, full-time, non-exempt, fully in-person, reporting to the Client Services Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support account setup, personal data updates, beneficiary designations and investment allocation changes with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Keep up with retirement plan regulations and ensure interactions comply with law, IRS guidance, ERISA fiduciary requirements and internal policy; escalate complex matters to the Client Services Manager and compliance.
• Resolve participant and sponsor concerns, escalating complex issues with clear next steps and following through until closed.
• Maintain client interaction records in Salesforce, including case notes, account changes and follow-ups, supporting SOC 1 audit readiness and SEC compliance.
• Generate, review and deliver routine participant and sponsor reports, flagging anomalies.
• Cover front desk duties such as greeting visitors and routing calls, and coordinate with Operations, Advisory, Compliance, TPA and Recordkeeping teams.
• Build knowledge of 401(k), 403(b)(7) and 403(b)(9) plans and pursue credentials such as ASPPA QKA or Series 65, 63 or 7 with firm support.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Customer-service orientation, able to stay professional in higher-volume or stressful situations.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of customer service, benefits administration or financial services experience; college coursework or an associate's or bachelor's degree.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Preferred: Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform and familiarity with 401(k), 403(b) plan structures.
