Claims Associate - Consumer (Bilingual)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a bilingual Claims Associate for its consumer claims function, working remotely. The role processes claims and determines benefits due under credit card or other financial program benefit plans, makes timely payments and adjustments, and provides superior customer service. Fluency in professional Spanish is required.

Key responsibilities

• Process first-party property claims based on the basic coverage defined by the client's program.
• Make coverage determinations based on investigation and evaluation.
• Adjudicate settlements or denials up to the designated authority level.
• Handle a high volume of claims, phone calls and correspondence, keeping claim files properly documented and meeting quality, production and customer deadline goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support the organization's quality programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; licenses as required or willingness to obtain them.
• One year of general office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; claims industry experience preferred.
• Fluency in reading, writing and conversing in professional Spanish.
• Credit security clearance confirmed by a background credit check is required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of first-party property and casualty claim adjudication as applicable to the line of business.
• Good oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills, teamwork and ability to meet performance competencies.
