Key responsibilities

• Prepare design plan sets for construction, including roadways, lotting, grading, drainage, and utilities using Civil3D.
• Research project requirements and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
• Coordinate submittals and approvals with jurisdictional authorities and collaborate with consultants.
• Mentor and review work of junior design engineers, and may manage small projects.
• Represent LBYD at public hearings and assist with client coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of design‑related experience.
• Proven success in a Design Engineer role and ability to produce complete, standards‑compliant plan sets.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Civil3D for site design.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design standards and drawing conventions.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes and ordinances.
