Children's Sports/P.E. Coach

About the role

Amazing Athletes is an educational sports program for children aged 2 to 12, offering year-round classes in blocks from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with Saturday options. Several positions are open and can start within a few weeks. The coach teaches the fundamentals of 10 sports and runs age-appropriate activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the fundamentals of 10 sports: soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball and golf.
• Incorporate lessons on nutrition and muscle groups to improve motor skills and physical literacy.
• Create a fun, engaging learning environment for children to learn and grow.
• Plan and run age-appropriate activities and obstacle courses.
• Engage actively with parents and caregivers so every child and family has a positive experience.
• Keep class materials and equipment properly maintained and organised.

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to local schools with your own reliable transport.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Fun, energetic, patient, attentive and reliable; passion for sports, fitness and working with children.
• Prior experience with children is a plus (preschool teachers, camp counselors, substitute teachers, coaches).
• A background in fitness is a plus (athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education).

What we offer

• Pay starting at $26 per hour, rising to $40 per hour depending on experience and commitment.
