Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor to lead a social services unit that handles investigations and comprehensive case management for child abuse or neglect. This full‑time position is based in Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the work of assigned staff, setting unit goals and regulating workloads.
• Conduct home‑visit evaluations, coordinate out‑of‑home placements, and monitor in‑home interventions.
• Develop case plans, identify placement resources, and initiate legal processes for guardianship, protective services, placement, or adoption.
• Collect evidence, interview witnesses, prepare reports, and ensure timely follow‑up actions for at‑risk clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and three years of case management experience, or one year of experience at a lower‑level Child Welfare Services Case Manager position.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel statewide.
• Pass standard agency testing and background checks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of state and federal child welfare regulations.
• Ability to compile records, prepare reports, and conduct investigations.
