Chief Legal Officer (CLO) – Executive Legal Leader

About the role

SyberJet is looking for a visionary Chief Legal Officer to join its executive team. The CLO will guide legal strategy for an innovative aerospace startup while ensuring compliance with rigorous aviation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the CEO and Board on legal matters, translating complex issues into business strategies.
• Lead all aspects of venture and growth capital transactions, managing data rooms and coordinating with external counsel.
• Serve as Corporate Secretary, overseeing board governance and fiduciary compliance.
• Develop and protect a 60‑year IP portfolio, including patents for avionics and future‑flight technologies.
• Draft and negotiate high‑value aircraft purchase agreements and master supply contracts with global OEMs.
• Oversee FAA and international certification processes, ensuring type and production certification compliance.
• Manage risk and liability issues across engineering, production, and customer relationships.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate, securities, and aviation law.
• Proven track record handling venture financing and complex commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property strategy in high‑tech aerospace.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment and shift between funding and regulatory matters.
• Excellent communication skills for board interaction and stakeholder negotiation.
