Charge RN – Skilled Nursing (Part‑Time, Days)

About the role

The Charge RN provides leadership in patient care at Ochsner Post Acute Care Center, using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. This part‑time, days‑only position focuses on delivering high‑quality skilled nursing care while supporting the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff, adapting communication to diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally.
