About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Forensics II unit at the Augusta Campus of East Central Regional Hospital. This night‑shift position oversees nursing care, ensures quality, and supports patient health and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise, guide, and instruct subordinate staff in daily assignments.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for the unit or shift.
- Ensure staff assess client health problems and develop appropriate care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee case management.
- Provide health maintenance advice, disease prevention education, and quality nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
Required profile
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Four years of professional nursing experience, including at least two years in a lead, team leader, or supervisory role.
