About the role
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work at the Gracewood location of East Central Regional Hospital. Under general supervision, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients. This full‑time position offers a stable schedule and a competitive salary.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist, including measuring, mixing, labeling, and recording dosages.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.
- Support pharmacy operations by handling inventory, restocking supplies, and assisting with routine tasks.
Required profile
- High School diploma/GED.
- Two years of experience working in a pharmacy, or one year in a lower‑level Pharmacy Tech position.
- Ability to meet state licensing, background check, drug screening, TB evaluation, and annual influenza vaccination requirements.
Required skills
- Medication preparation and compounding.
- Labeling and dosage documentation.
