Channel Sales Specialist (Remote)

About the role

This remote Channel Sales Specialist position reports to the District Sales Manager and serves as the main link between distributor and commercial contractor customers and ABB. It contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in North America, which covers industrial circuit breakers, low-voltage systems, motor starting applications and power protection equipment. The work model is remote, based in San Antonio, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Work with distributors to set future sales targets and strategies, keep objectives in place during the year and make sure they are met or exceeded.
• Inform customers about delivery times, payments and general terms and conditions in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
• Identify and drive new market opportunities in the assigned market.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with assigned electrical contractors at all levels, monitor pricing agreement usage and adjust plans as needed.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to grow orders, revenue, profitability and market share while keeping customers satisfied.
• Plan and implement sales strategies to maximise market share and margin and encourage electrical contractors to choose ABB industrial solutions over competitors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3+ years of sales experience, or GED/high school diploma with 5+ years of sales experience.
• Ability to travel to customer sites on a weekly basis.
• An educational background in Engineering or Business Management is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Existing work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
