About the role

The University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine are seeking an inspirational, highly qualified Chair to lead the nationally recognized Department of Otolaryngology. This senior academic leader will shape the department’s strategic direction, foster research excellence, and enhance patient‑centered clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a visionary strategy for departmental growth across clinical, research, and educational missions.
• Oversee operations, budgeting, and people leadership for faculty, staff, and division chiefs.
• Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development of faculty members.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaborations within UHealth, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and partner health systems.
• Represent the department to senior leadership, external partners, and national ENT societies.

Required profile

• Distinguished physician‑scientist with a strong record of peer‑reviewed funding and scholarly contributions in otolaryngology.
• Proven academic leadership experience, including program development and faculty mentorship.
• National reputation within ENT societies and collaborative research groups.
