Certified Surgical Tech - Labor and Delivery (Nights)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist for its Labor and Delivery department in Orlando, Florida, working nights. The new Lake Nona campus is expected to open in late 2026, offering emergency services, urgent care, specialists, lab, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure
• Maintain high standards of quality and cost containment
• Assemble supplies, equipment and medications before the procedure
• Monitor aseptic technique of the surgical team and act immediately on any break in technique
• Support customer and employee satisfaction and maintain good relationships with physicians, management and other departments

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred
• Currently enrolled in or successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technology program
• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA CST, or NCCT TS-C certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• 2+ years of technical experience preferred; 1+ year of relevant experience preferred

Required skills

• Aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation
• Knowledge of common healthcare concepts, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Clear communication, attention to detail, multitasking and teamwork

Pay range: $21.77 - $40.48. Positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening.
