Advanced Practice Provider Oncology Infusion (Days)

About the role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for oncology infusion services, working days Monday through Friday. The provider delivers comprehensive primary, acute and extended care within their scope of practice, licensure and the Collaborative Practice Agreement, coordinating patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, patient histories and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Initiate orders for medications, laboratory studies, diagnostic testing and treatments within scope of practice.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across organ systems, and implement nursing and medical interventions.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care, and provide patient and family education and counseling.
• Coordinate patient care, facilitate patient flow and discharge planning, and take part in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences.

Required profile

• Master's of Nursing degree (required).
• 1+ year of related work experience (required).
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification preferred.
