About the role
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care throughout Phelps Health Hospital, working under the supervision of a staff anesthesiologist or other physician.
Key responsibilities
- Perform anesthesia services in accordance with professional standards and Missouri Board of Nursing ethical guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with legal and certification requirements, including Joint Commission standards.
- Participate in the development and improvement of anesthesia care, serve on committees, and provide training and education to staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete chart corrections promptly.
Required profile
- Completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Missouri RN licensure and APRN licensure.
- Considerable mental concentration and ability to lift up to 35 lbs, with frequent walking and standing.
Required skills
- Administration of anesthesia and patient monitoring.
- Compliance with anesthesia standards and documentation procedures.
