Certified Nursing Assistant - Inpatient Oncology

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for its inpatient oncology unit. The CNA is a member of the nursing team who works under the direction of the Registered Nurse to contribute to patient comfort and well-being.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist in patient care and indirect patient care functions, including transport.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED.
• Current Florida CNA licensure or enrollment in the JMC CNA Candidate Readiness Program, completing the program and obtaining state licensure within the program timeframe.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• 2 years or more of acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs; the job involves long periods of standing, sitting and walking and can be physically demanding.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance, and maintenance of required licenses or certifications.
