Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time)

About the role

Alpha Hormones, a hormone therapy and regenerative medicine clinic based in Los Angeles, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join its on-site clinical team in Pasadena. The role provides front and back office support for patients receiving hormone therapy, lab services and regenerative treatments. It suits a skilled, compassionate professional with at least 3 years of hands-on phlebotomy experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally, and answer inbound calls and help with outbound marketing and lead follow-up
• Perform patient intake, vital signs, rooming and preparation for procedures
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection (3 years of experience required)
• Assist with musculoskeletal injections and hormone pellet procedures
• Verify PPO and Medicare insurance eligibility and update patient data, insurance info and medical documentation in the EMR
• Schedule appointments and follow-ups, prepare charts for next-day visits, collect co-pays and process payments
• Balance daily batches and generate end-of-day financial reports
• Support telehealth and video visits, and help with administrative tasks, marketing and CRM updates
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA and OSHA safety standards

Required profile

• Certified Medical Assistant (required)
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (required)
• Strong front and back office skills, including rooming, injections and specimen handling
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and Saturdays; California residents only, able to commute to the clinic
• Bilingual Spanish preferred

Required skills

• Medical billing knowledge and experience with PPO and Medicare (highly preferred)
• EMR charting and familiarity with major insurance plans
• CRM systems, marketing campaigns or medical office administration (preferred)
• Video conferencing, online portals and fast typing (at least 45 WPM)
