Certified Cath Lab Technician - Full Time Days, No Call

About the role

AdventHealth in Denver is hiring a Certified Cath Lab Technician for a full-time day shift with no call. The role supports physicians in specialized cardiovascular procedures and involves adjusting the approach to tests according to patients' and families' understanding, troubleshooting equipment and documenting patient status.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians in specialized cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation and electrophysiology studies.
• Adjust the approach based on patient and family understanding of test procedures and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or patient issues.
• Evaluate and document patient status and respond appropriately to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Prioritize clinical and administrative work independently and identify process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a health science program, or graduation from an accredited technical/vocational school in invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred; special procedures experience preferred.
• RCIS, RCES or R.T.(CI)(ARRT) certification required; CSA, CST, ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
