Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant – Sign‑on Bonus & Loan Repayment

About the role

The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) will work under the direction of a staff anesthesiologist at Florida Weston Hospital, providing anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical cases. This full‑time, onsite position offers a supportive, collegial environment with CRNAs, AAs and MDAs.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform relevant physical exam elements, and discuss anesthetic plans with the anesthesiologist.
• Administer anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs, monitor patient responses, and take emergency measures when complications arise.
• Assist with regional techniques such as epidural, spinal, and other accepted monitoring procedures.
• Provide post‑anesthesia recovery care and communicate patient progress to the anesthesiologist.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant training program.
• Current, valid AA license in Florida, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift patients and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with anesthesia delivery systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
