CDL‑A City Delivery Truck Driver (Local)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑A drivers for local city pickup and delivery operations at its West Salem, WI service center. Drivers return to the terminal each day after completing multiple stops, ensuring timely freight movement within the city.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups of freight on a daily basis.
• Operate scanning equipment and interact directly with customers.
• Handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and follow safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of recent combined Class A driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military transition qualification).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical capability to bend, lift and stoop safely.
