CDL A Local Truck Driver – Janesville

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery driver for its Janesville, WI service center. You will perform local freight deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight within the city on a daily basis.
• Make multiple stops per shift and operate scanning equipment to track loads.
• Interact directly with customers, handling paperwork and inquiries.
• Perform lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Return to the home terminal each day after completing routes.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military transition specifications).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.
• Preferred: endorsements for doubles/triples, tanker, haz‑mat; experience with haz‑mat, LTL, local delivery, and electric pallet jack operation.
