Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time at Janesville Service Center

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic for its Janesville, WI service center. The position offers a competitive hourly rate up to $41.38 and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, health coverage and access to employee resorts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and fix diesel engine issues, including major repairs.
• Service auxiliary equipment such as lift gates, dollies, overhead doors and forklifts.
• Conduct welding tasks as required by location.
• Utilize Cetaris system for work order management.

Required profile

• 2 + years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, AC and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work safely on heavy equipment.
• Own set of tools.
• Class A CDL preferred.
