Category Manager – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing of complex goods and services across the organization. The role focuses on cost‑effective procurement, supplier negotiation, and delivering measurable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies based on spend analysis, market dynamics, and business requirements.
• Lead the full contract life cycle from RFP to supplier exit, ensuring cost, quality, and service targets are met.
• Collaborate with business units, finance, legal, and suppliers to identify total cost opportunities and achieve savings.
• Monitor market trends, supply‑chain innovations, and sustainability goals to inform sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, or supply‑chain management.
• Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and build strategic supplier relationships.
