About the role

The Cashier provides front‑line financial services to students at North Georgia Technical College. This part‑time position handles payments, refunds, and maintains accurate financial records while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Process student payments, cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards, and record transactions in the Banner system.
  • Prepare and mail account statements, handle bank deposits, and reconcile daily receipts.
  • Assist students with billing inquiries, refunds, and new student registration sessions.
  • Maintain organized records of pending payments and follow up as needed.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least six months of work‑related experience, preferably in cash handling or customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and pass a credit check.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of the Banner Student Management System.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Access).
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills.
