Carpet Technician

About the role

A carpet technician is needed in Phoenix to provide carpet cleaning services at customer locations arranged by the company. The position is full-time, requires no prior experience because paid training is offered, and calls for a self-motivated person with a good driving record.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional service to all customers, including explaining cleaning procedures and determining their needs.
• Complete customer service schedules on time and keep internal staff informed of the daily schedule.
• Manipulate cleaning equipment from the van into the customer's home and lift equipment weighing about 100 pounds.
• Sell add-on services and products such as fabric guard and upholstery cleaning.
• Drive the company vehicle safely, obey traffic laws, keep a good driving record and maintain the vehicle according to company policy.
• Complete route sheets, daily check-in and check-out procedures, and attend training meetings as required.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming, wear a clean company uniform and meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; industry or outside sales experience is helpful but not necessary.
• Good driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
• Ability to recognize and fix problems, basic math skills, and ability to lift about 100 pounds.
